Cordyceps sinensis has been used as a medicine in China for over 300 years. Cordyceps sinensis has always been considered as the tonic for "all diseases" because it would improve energy, appetite, endurance, libido, endurance and sleep patterns. Cordyceps sinensis mycelium contains polysaccharides and cordycepin. In addition, it also contains other beneficial substances such as adenosine and amino acids that are required for the production of ATP. That is why this mushroom is mainly used for general fatigue and low energy levels. Numerous scientific studies show that Cordyceps sinensis polysaccharides (CSP) or cordycepin have various physiological and health effects, including rapid relief from fatigue, anti-inflammatory & antihypertensive properties, kidney protection and cell protection against PM2.5 or acute lung damage.
Submerged cultivation is the best technology to manage the identity and purity of medicinal mushrooms without contamination. The bioactive substances of mushrooms have been identified not only in the fruit body, but also in the mycelium culture and culture broth.
Cordyceps sinensis mycelium is a freeze-dried medicinal mushroom, produced by submerged cultivation and low temperature membrane filtration with molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) of 5,000 Da for high molecular weight and hence highly bioactive ß-glucans! This cultivated mycelium contains 100 % pure polysaccharides including ß-glucans derived from the mushroom. Many mushroom powders contain starch and other impurities derived from cereal-based cultivation. Therefore, these powders contain polysaccharides that do not come from the mushroom itself. The concentrations of these substances are thus often much higher.
